A Little Something

Good morning friends! As I mentioned in my last post, life has been a bit hectic lately. One of the things that helps me to relax is to shop...all by myself : ) Maybe it's the introvert in me, but there's something about browsing for a few hours without much thought of time or need for conversation that I find really soothing.

Now, that could be a bit dangerous for my wallet. But most of the time I simply enjoy just getting out and enjoying some alone time while taking in the products and displays.

While I was enjoying my shopping ritual the other day, I did come across one thing I just couldn't leave behind. The large potted orchid seemed like it was made for my house, or more specifically, for my bedroom.

You should have seen me carrying it all over the store while I browsed, the big flowers flopping about as I walked. But I didn't care...I didn't want anyone else stealing my orchid : )

I think it found a perfect new home on my bedside table. Now that's what I call retail therapy!

What's your favorite way to unwind? Any good tips?

  1. So lovely Courtney! It looks great on the nightstand!! Your bedroom is so calming and pretty!

    Have a great week!

  2. Courtney, that orchid had your name on it and was just waiting for you to take it home to put on your bedside table! It is so lovely. I'm like you, in that I love to just go browsing with the intent of buying a little treat or maybe not if I don't find one. I love going to the shops in he small towns 20-30 minutes away from me. There is something kind of comfortable about being a stranger in a strange land. Have a beautiful day!

  3. I am so glad I have found someone who likes to go shopping-browsing alone! My Mom and sister cannot understand me, but I too find it therapeutic:)
I happen to also like going for coffee alone at our local tea house.

So pretty! Love the look on your bedside table!

  5. To relax I like to listen to quiet music. But I do like retail therapy. I use that to treat myself after doing something difficult like a dental appt.

Well hello there! You just made my day!
