I have to confess…I’ve been planning our girl’s first birthday basically since before she was born. I know, I know. But I just can’t help myself. There is so much beautiful inspiration out there these days, and who doesn’t love a pretty and fun party?! Since she’s been born, I’ve used peach and blush as her “theme” colors (aka my favorite tones to purchase for her wardrobe), and I love using anything and everything Rifle Paper Co. So the theme for her first birthday party was an easy one. It will be a Rifle-inspired party with lots of botanicals, peaches, blushes and some gold (similar to her nursery). I’ve had so much fun gathering inspiration, so I thought I’d share a few of my favorite images that are driving the direction of our little fete.
This is the collage I’ve been using to show vendors and others what I’m thinking. So pretty seeing it all together!

I LOVED this shower and the fun floral cupcake toppers. What a beautiful set up!
This mama killed it on her daughter’s first birthday – how jaw-dropping is this?! You have to see the whole party over here.
This photo is probably my main inspiration. I ordered tons of seeded and silver dollar eucalyptus and I’m hoping to create the neutral, soft, botanical look seen here.
My mother-in-law is an incredibly talented baker, so she’s doing all our sweets. She’s making a couple naked cakes, Rifle-inspired cookies, and delicious cupcakes. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!

I’ve taken monthly photos with the Rifle Paper Co botanical letter garland spelling out each milestone, so I plan to display them on an empty frame similar to this. So fun!

This is just one example of a Rifle-inspired cookie, and my mother-in-law is going to work her magic and put her own twist on things. So cute!

The party is next Sunday and I’m already half set up haha! I simply can’t wait to celebrate our girl! She has blessed us more than I ever imaged and made our lives so full and joyful. She deserves every second of delight (and sugar!) that I hope this party brings her. I’ll of course have photos of the whole affair for you post-party. You may even get a glimpse of our daughter (I’ve been a bit shy about posting her photo online much, but I may not be able to help myself with party pictures).
What do you think? Can I pull it off?! Wish me luck!!

Oh my gosh! I love all of this! I can't wait to see what you come up with. And I'm also really wishing Rifle Paper was around when my girls were all little.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration!
It'll be beautiful!!! You always have amazing taste! Happy birthday to your little one!
Oh thanks so much! Yes isn't Rifle just the best?! Can't get enough!!
Oh thank you so much Michelle! You are always so sweet!!
Courtney, I keep looking at this blog to make sure it is not mine!!! You have amazing taste! My daughter is four months on a Tuesday and I googled little unicorn watercolor rose to get some design ideas for her nursery and here you are! What are the odds that I also used the Jones Company rose mobile tutorial? I'm dying! Rifle Paper is a thirty minutes drive, I can't describe the danger of it all! My friends and I have to breathe in and out slowly when visiting! Thank you for the inspiration! Darlynn at Thelittleblogdress.com
The set up with the gold ONE balloons is mine ! If you could please give me credit Thank you !
