Restyling the Entryway

One space I haven't shown on the blog and not even much on Instagram is our entryway. It's a small space but one I've always really loved. One of my must-haves for a house was an entry space, and I was so happy our home featured a beautiful two-story entryway with a grand staircase and a little nook for a table or bench. We outfitted it with an antique chest that was my grandparents, hung a few things on the walls, and it mostly stayed that way for the last few years. But recently I'd been wanting to bring the space to life a bit more.

The folks at Revival Rugs were kind enough to send over this gorgeous vintage rug and it was just the jumping off point I needed! I absolutely love the muted colors, the soft flat-weave texture and the character the rug brings to the space.

If you follow along on Instagram stories you know I also DIY-ed this wood ball mirror from a mirror I already had and some half wood balls. It was a bit of a saga as I didn't do it quite right initially and had to take them all off and start over (typical, right?!) but I love how it turned out in the end! I'll have a blog post soon with the tutorial if you want to make one too.

I also added this rattan wall hook to keep coats and bags. It adds another point of interest in the space as well as functionality.

I kept most of the pieces in here pretty neutral, so the rug really brings that pop of soft color the space needed. I love that Revival Rugs carries one-of-a-kind curated vintage rugs as well as new rugs that are handmade. Their collection is just stunning and I had such a hard time choosing one because they're all so beautiful. Revival Rugs is so easy to work with - I had a snaffu with my order (on my end) and they were so great to get everything worked out for me with no questions asked. They'll be my go-to source for rugs for sure! If you're in the market for a vintage or vintage-look rug, you can use the code BROWNING10 to get 10% off your order.

I was given a rug from Revival Rugs in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links which means I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through a link. Thank you for supporting this blog!

  1. Love the vintage style and colors of your entry rug. It really finishes off the space. I read it’s from Revival but am not sure which one it is. Will you share the name of it? Thanks!

    1. Hey Susan, it’s the Ockeline, but since they are vintage rugs they’re one of a kind. The ones I linked in the “shop our entryway” section at the bottom of the post are really similar though in coloring and pattern!

Well hello there! You just made my day!
