A lot has changed since the last time I shared this space here on the blog! We finally splurged on a Samsung Frame TV and could rearrange the living room layout since we were no longer needing to work around a TV being on the left cabinet. It feels like a completely different room! And what better time to debut it than at Christmas?
For artwork on the TV I chose this gorgeous neutral abstract art from Juniper Print Shop. I layered my favorite eucalyptus garland with a bit of fresh pine and cedar, and added bottle brush trees in neutral hues for a simple mantel. Our velvet stockings are always a favorite and this year I dressed them up with taupe silk ribbon and gray velvet ribbon (both from Hobby Lobby, similar here) as well as some tiny brass bells. I just love this look!
This might be one of my favorite views, with our tree in its new spot in the corner. Also I love being able to style the now-open console with some leaning art and accessories – a happy accident as I was going to put another shelf there to fill the opening left by the old TV, but it was out of stock. I actually love the look and think I’ll leave it this way.
I hung a small boxwood wreath over some of my favorite abstract art, and added in a wooden bell and vase of fresh pine branches for simple Christmas touches.
I’m still so happy with our new coffee table I found at Home Goods this summer. I added my favorite bust vase filled with pine and a few tabletop bells and trees.
I’m especially loving this winter print (below) from a new shop I found called North Prints – they have the most gorgeous selection!
This room truly feels so grand and special this year! I’m so happy we
made the switch and all the festive details are just the icing on the
cake!

Once you have kids, holidays definitely become much more magical. I’ve always appreciated the different holidays and seasons, but having a little one definitely makes it more exciting. We don’t go all-out for most of the “smaller” holidays, but it’s still fun to add a few festive touches to make it feel special for her….
One big reason we purchased our home was that it was a blank slate with great bones. Since it was a new build, everything was fresh, but we could also put our stamp on it because it had simple neutral walls as a backdrop. One space that has been begging for some interest…
I get a lot of questions about finishing touches. Things like accessorizing, filling a wall, styling shelves, etc. can be a challenge for all of us. It takes time, vision and creativity. So today I thought I would show you three ways to style a coffee table, and some tips and tricks along the way….
The first everything with a baby is simply too much fun. So far we’ve had the first Halloween (she was one day old), Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and now Easter. Though a 4-month-old certainly doesn’t “need” much or understand what’s happening, it’s still such a joy to shower her with fun little goodies to make…
I’ve confessed my love for celebrating holidays with little ones before, and Easter is no exception. You can see how I decked out Lexie’s first Easter basket last year here. She was tiny then, and is definitely more of a toddler now, so I know she’ll really enjoy the little gifts we’ve picked up for…
