I can’t believe the nursery is finally done! I am due tomorrow, October 18, and everything is finally ready!
I had so much fun putting this space together. I have known even before we were planning to have kids exactly what I would do for a little girl’s nursery, and it came together exactly how I envisioned! (There are shoppable links throughout the post and a full source list at the bottom of the post)
The room is small – maybe 10×10 – but adding a chair rail 3/4 of the way up the wall added so much character. The metallic star decals are from Urban Walls, and I absolutely love them. It really wasn’t too hard to put them up and they make such a big impact. My dad switched out the light fixture for this gold and crystal flush mount, which is so charming.
My mother-in-law painted the antique dresser for me. which we’re using as a changing table. I love that we can continue to use this piece even after the diaper changing days are over.
The curtains in the room were a labor of love by my mom. They are simple white panels from Target, which we originally picked bright coral fabric for. After she sewed the coral on and we hung them, they were just not right in the room. Everything feels so soft and soothing, and the coral was very jarring in person. So my mom took it off and we lined them with simple peach ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Thanks mom for all your hard work!
I love this little corner, which is both sweet and sophisticated. The glider is by Delta Children, and I picked up the coral pillow at Home Goods before we even knew what we were having (I picked up a “boy pillow” also, but obviously didn’t end up needing that : ). I knew I wanted a lot of mirrored accents, so the table and frames all carry that through.
The crib is a classic Jenny Lind, and I love its simple lines. I tried to keep the major pieces gender-neutral so we can use them again and just change out accents if we have a boy.
The Ikea Isala cabinet holds blankets and extra nursery items. I knew I wanted a vintage rocking horse for the top. Let me tell you, those are not easy to find, especially for a decent price. I was so excited when my friend in Kansas City found this one at a vintage store. It was dark wood and I painted it with Annie Sloan chalk paint. It looks pretty as an accessory now, and is very usable when the baby is a bit bigger.
Don’t you love this diaper bag? I wanted something that didn’t look too much like a diaper bag, since I’ll probably essentially carry it as a purse for the next year. It is the Manifest Weekender by Little Unicorn. I love that brand. My favorite blanket, the watercolor rose quilt, is by them as well.
I got the rug for free using credits from Joss and Main. I had originally wanted a starburst pattern, but figured free was worth a slight design change! I love the pattern and texture it adds.
The star crown is actually a Christmas decoration I got from Wisteria a few years ago, but I knew it would be perfect in our sweet girl’s nursery. The books are just notebooks from TJ Maxx, but the colors were perfect.
The tiny Beatrix Potter books are from my childhood, and I adore them. I got the silver rattle for a few dollars at a consignment sale.
The gold arrow hook came from Target (just yesterday!) and the darling peach tutu was a gift from my mom. The long dress is an antique christening gown, and the cream dress is her coming home outfit. I love having these on display!
I will probably fill the frames with our newborn and family photos after her arrival, so for now I simply filled them with peach and gold wrapping paper.
I made the flower mobile using the tutorial from Jones Design Company and flowers from Hobby Lobby. It took more flowers than I thought, but I love how it turned out!
Love this print from Lindsay Letters!
I’ve had this girl bust for several years, and knew it would be so cute in the nursery, especially with a peach bow in her hair : )
I’m sure we will soon fill this cabinet up with toys and extras, but for now it’s simple and pretty storage.
All her teeny tiny clothes! I used drawer organizers from Ikea to sort everything.
Her closet was so fun to put together also. She already has quite the wardrobe! I was able to get the cubbies as well as the woven baskets on swap sites for next to nothing. The bins hold the less-than-cute necessities, while her little shoes and books are on display.
We are so excited to meet our little girl (hopefully very soon)! It has been such a labor of love getting this little space ready. All of our family helped in some way, and we could never have been prepared without the generous baby gifts from friends and family. It has been such a blessing! We’re waiting for you, sweet girl!

Congratulations on expecting your first child tomorrow! This is such an exciting time for you. I had my first 21 years ago. I remember the excitement. Your nursery is just beautiful! I love the color scheme and all of the special touches that you gave it that set it apart from others. Your homemade mobile, coral trimmed draperies, wall treatment and adorable accessories are great. Good luck and I look forward to being introduced to your sweet little girl when you share her with us all.
Such a beautiful room! I love every part of it. Can't wait to meet her when she arrives. She'll enjoy her room! Our girls will have fun playing together in there.
Oh my gravy, Courtney! Her room could not be more darling!! You did a wonderful job! Can't wait for your sweet girl to arrive!
Gorgeous pics, and absolutely magazine worthy design work – this room is AWESOME.
Today is my baby girl's birthday – so you are having a little girl at a very special time of year! Go Libras!

A darling nursery!
My only concern/red flag would be the windows next to the changing table…pls tack up the cords – away from litlle hands 🙂
Love everything!! Did you use satin or grosgrain ribbon on curtains?
Hi Angie, we used grosgrain!
Beautiful room! Can you share a link to the Wayfair glider?
I updated the listing above! It goes in and out of stock on Wayfair. Hope that helps!
How on earth did you get the crib skirt to look so nice with that Jenny crib? Those black bars are making me crazy. Did you cut slits all the way up? Did it work? HELP!
Gorgeous nursery! For the wall decals, did you use a grey color or the silver metallic?

They are silver metallic!
Love Love Love your Nursery! ! One question; how far apart did you space your stars?
Oh man…I don't totally remember! It might have been about 7 inches??
Hi! What kind of flowers did you use for the mobile? I love it!
I love your idea for a baby room! How many of those Starburst decals did you use for the room?

I have the same question, our room is 9×11 so essentially the same. I would love to copy this and would love to know how many sets of decals you ordered. Thanks!
Thanks! I don't know exactly which kinds, but a mix of soft, full flowers like peonies from Hobby Lobby
Hi guys, I'm sorry I don't remember exactly how many I used. A couple orders maybe? If you decided how far you want them spaced out you should be able to do the math on how many it will take based on the size of the space you're covering. Hope that helps!
Hi!! Do you remember if you used the big or medium size? I'm really in doubt about this.
Hi there! Can you provide an update regarding the comfort of the glider? I've read a million review on multiple glider, but most are on the looks and setup, not on comfort and usability after usage. Thank you!
What color of paint (gray) is on the walls? Thank you!
Good Morning! I'm just wondering if you know all of the paint colors used for the walls? Much appreciated – love LOVE the nursery!
Hi Courtney!
May I ask what's the size of your area rug? Love your blog BTW.
Thanks! It's a 5×7
Hi Courtney, beautiful nursery! Would you mind sharing where you found the quilt that's draped over your glider?

Oh my goodness!! I absolutely ADORE your nursery and will be copying your ideas of paint colors, and stars for our nursery! Thank you so much for the inspiration!! We aren't finding out the gender of our baby so this will be perfect either way, and we can accent once we know. 🙂 What are the paint colors you chose for the grey, the white and the chair rail? Thank you so much!

Hi Kate,
I noticed she posted the paint colors on a different tab. Here are the colors for the nursery. 🙂 I was wondering the same thing! :
Hi guys, it's the first thing under the source list – BM Stonington and Simply White. Hope that helps! Thanks!
Love this! How did you apply the start decals so they are so perfectly spaced apart?
The nursery is adorable! Do you know the color the dresser is painted? I'm getting ready to do a room for my grand daughter. Thanks
