Mickey’s Farmer’s Market Birthday Party
Another fun kids birthday party is in the books! I absolutely love coming up with creative themes and ideas for my kids parties and this Mickey’s Farmers Market themed party was especially fun! In fact, I’ve had the idea for a farmers market party rolling around in my head for several years, so when Evan asked for a Mickey party I knew we could combine the two into a really fun theme.
This probably counts as the most colorful party I’ve ever done! I used lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to make the dessert table feel like a real farmers market.
I collected all sorts of wood crates, bushel baskets and chipwood baskets to hold the bounty of fruits and veggies.
To incorporate the Mickey theme I ordered a large vinyl Mickey silhouette to go on the feature wall. Evan loved it!
To create the market awning I used two of these inexpensive paper scalloped awnings, and painted them to match the party colors. An easy and inexpensive project!
For favors we filled these berry baskets with market-themed goodies for
the kids. We lined them with striped napkins and included a seed pack,
squishy fruit toy, strawberry candy, and the most darling mini jams and
honeys.
These French mini jams made the perfect display on the table and were so
sweet to tuck into each favor basket. I included a mini honey dipper
for the honey also.
Of course every party is absolutely made by my mother-in-law’s gorgeous
and delicious baked goods. She does have a desserts business making all
sorts of sweets, so if you’re local, shoot me a message and I can get
you connected to her.
She made her signature sugar cookies in all sorts of darling fruit and veggie shapes. They were as delicious as they were pretty!
I topped the simple white cake with these wood Mickey ears, and garnished it with some fresh berries.
Then I found these precious fondant garden veggies on Etsy that were the
perfect little toppers. Such a fun nod to the garden market theme!
These Farmers Market invites were the perfect thing – I just had the designer modify the design slightly to include a Mickey silhouette and change the wording a little. They are darling!
This was such a fun, bright, cheerful party and the birthday boy had a
blast! I can’t believe our boy is 3! It was so much fun to celebrate
him. I hope our little soiree can inspire you to throw a Mickey’s
Farmers Market party of your own!
You throw the best parties!!!
